Lamar S. Moore Passes Away

It is with great sadness that we learnt about the passing away of Lamar Moore on June 16, 2014. Lamar was one of our close friends in ministry to those in law enforcement. At the time of his death, he was the Executive Director of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO) in the United States. We thank God for his life and ministry and pray that God will comfort his family in this difficult time.

US Police Officers Killed On Duty Up 40 Percent

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund reported that 63 officers have died in the line of duty this year compared to 45 at the same time last year — a 40 percent increase. Twenty-three of those deaths were due to firearm-related incidents, a 53 percent increase from the same time last year. Previously, the overall number of officer fatalities had been on a steady decline since 2011.
